It’s It…It really is!


{Delicious It’s It Ice Cream Cookies at Waterbar}

I discovered the most perfect dessert during my first visit ever to San Francisco earlier this month.  Imagine this: a scoop of creamy ice cream sandwiched between two fresh, warm, home-made oatmeal cookies. And if that isn’t enough to make your mouth water, the whole thing is then dipped in chocolate.

This, my friends, is called an “It’s It”.  I was lucky enough to try a gourmet version at Waterbar, a great restaurant in the Embarcadero, right by the Bay Bridge – but I heard they are also sold in super markets, delis, and that it’s common for people to make their own versions at home!

I can’t understand why this treat hasn’t made its way over to the east coast yet.  I’m going to be testing my homemade It’s It-making abilities soon. If anything so that I’m not required to fly cross-country to satisfy this craving!
