Every year after Thanksgiving it’s as if someone just hits a switch. It happens every year the Monday after Thanksgiving.

I left my house early Monday morning, and as I walked to my car I noticed that all the holiday decorations were up. When did this happen? Decorations appeared magically overnight!!

I get into my car to go to work, and I turn on the radio. A few minutes later I realized that I was unconsciously singing along to some nostalgic Christmas carol, before quickly switching the station.

I parked my car in the lot and got out, and more holiday music was playing from the parking lot speakers. I continue walking towards the building past some shops…you guessed!! More holiday decorations!! And in a city like Miami you need to say “holiday” because these decorations can get really confusing. I actually saw what appeared to be a Christmas tree with a menorah sitting on top. Really. I am all about happy religious co-existence but I just thought that was a little bit over the top!

Anyway, as I am writing this, I just heard a co-worker play another sappy carol on their computer, it’s going to be a long month!!!
