Birthday joys

My birthday fell on a Tuesday this year.  That same Tuesday I had night class for my masters, and it was the day after we had completed move #2 in the last month. I think that somewhere between packing, unpacking, reading class syllabi, and work, I had lost all hope to any kind of birthday celebration.

But even though I was set on not celebrating this year, my amazing boyfriend still planned a small dinner with friends at our favorite pizza place on the following night. It turned out to be a success and I’m feeling pretty lucky after being pleasantly surprised by so many loving friends who came out to wish me a happy birthday.
