L’ora di pranzo

{Tagliere at La Beppa Fioraia}

Clearly another highlight of the trip was the food, and I wouldn’t have expected anything less from Italian cuisine.

For me, l’ora di pranzo (dinner time), was the most anticipated time of day!

It was of course important to try the pizza, which didn’t disappoint with lots of chunky homemade tomato sauce, ham, sausage, olives, and fresh mushrooms.

I have a particular weakness for filled pasta, and what I tried at ZaZa was amazing.

But pasta and pizza were definitely not the only tasty options on the menu. The meats and seafood were delicious as well.

Gelato

A perfect two-scoop Italian cone. One scoop Fior di Latte (milk and vanilla ice cream) and for the second scoop, Nocciola (think Nutella). Wishing everyone a great weekend.

Small cars

Something that clearly stood out during my recent stay in Florence were the very cute, sometimes cartoonishly funny, small cars.

Of course, it makes total sense to have tiny cars there, since the streets are narrow and the spaces (specially parking spaces) are so small.

I can see how driving anything larger than a Mini Cooper would quickly become a nuisance.
