Food Truck Frenzy

The  Miami Food Trucks have taken over the city. And when I say Food Trucks, I am really talking about gourmet restaurants on wheels.

The trucks are now gathering on the first Friday of each month for Street Food Fridays.

When they gather, there are so many food options that the toughest part is choosing just one truck to try.

During my first food truck experience, I had an amazing chicken curry empanada and a super refreshing ginger-thai basil lemonade at Miso Hungry (LOVE the name, by the way!).

During my second food truck adventure, I tried the best gazpacho I’ve had in a really long time at Nacho Mama’s. The ceviche was really good too!

There are many dessert options as well, ranging from cupcakes to churros and everything in between.  Last time, I had a few delicious, melt-in-your-mouth, mini alfajores.

Some trucks proudly display their association to the Slow Food Movement, supporting locally produced foods, which I found particularly cool.
