Sculpture Garden

{National Gallery of Art’s Sculpture Garden}

Last weekend we took a quick weekend trip to Washington D.C. to visit friends, and it was a great break from the routine.

While walking through The National Mall, we accidentally strolled into the Sculpture Garden.  It suddenly reminded me of the Secret Garden, filled with plants and beautiful flowers, and sculptures.

It’s a great little hideaway in the middle of the city, with a cafe and a beautiful fountain that also doubles as an ice skating rink in the winter time.

I leave you with some of my favorite pieces from the current exhibition.

Meli, we’re going to DC in a couple weeks, any other recommendations?
