Blogger Spotlight: Dear Photograph

Anyone who loves photographs at least half as much as I do will love this blog.

Dear Photograph describes itself as a blog about showcasing a picture of a picture from the past in the present. I immediately fell in love with the idea! Take a few minutes to browse through the site and you’ll quickly see what I mean.

Anyone can send a submission to dearphotograph@gmail.com. I’m currently browsing through old photos, trying to find the perfect one to convert into a submission of my own!

Bookmarks – June

Below are four noteworthy bookmarks from the month of June.

1. The Kinfolk Journal is a very cool place to get inspiration for hosting small gatherings. Its a relatively new site, so there isn’t a lot of content yet, but it showcases beautiful and inspiring photos of real life get-togethers, dinners, and the like. It does a great job of sharing unique ideas on how to make your next small gathering sweet and memorable.

{Chek out this BBQ for two}

2. Zazzle is a website that allows you to upload an image and create your own unique, custom postage stamps. I was so happy to learn that I won’t have to send out my wedding invitations using stamps of the US flag!

3. The textiles and patterns at John Robshaw’s shop are beautiful. I specially like the elephant-shaped luggage tags.

4. Last but not least, this site will surely come in handy when you misplace your phone around the house. A simple and cool idea.

Happy 4th of July!

{Flag Cake by Glorious Treats}

I am so impressed by the perfect assembly of this cake.  It’s so pretty to look at and perfect for today’s celebrations. Although I must admit I’m slightly intimidated by the precise assembly required, I’m keeping this one on my list of intricate recipes to tackle someday.

Take a look at some other deliciously looking patriotic sweetness from Glorious Treats here and here.

Happy Independence Day, USA!
